510 East Jones Street
This property was built in 1870 by Robert Low, who also built the one-story adjoining building. Low was an African American brick mason. As a man of color living in 19th century Savannah, we currently do not know what his status was during the Civil War, which ended just five years prior to the building of this house. 510 E. Jones was the last unrestored property left on this block when HSF saved it and sold it to a preservation-minded buyer in 2019.
